Who is McFarlin

Thomas McFarlin has an extensive background in industry, operations research, small business ownership and small business consulting.  He has had engineering, management and executive responsi­bilities at Chevrolet, Allis-Chalmers, J.I Case and Hein-Werner Corporations. He is a Degreed Professional Engineer focused on Industrial Engineering and Operations Research.

He has a national reputation as one of the most effective business engineers. He has had or has participated in more than 2500 consulting engagements both with major “small business” consulting firms and as a Free Lance Consultant. The depth and breadth of his background includes serving in the capacity of Staff Consultant, Project Director, Executive Analyst, Senior Executive and Managing Director. 

He was awarded the prestigious “Commitment to Quality Award”. 

Thomas has recently retired as Managing Director Solutions for Strategic Business Partners in Arlington Heights, IL a consultancy that he helped organize and was instrumental in SBP achieving the top ten award for Quality Consulting from Consulting Magazine.  Coupled with his consulting background, Thomas is certified as a Professional Bookkeeper, a QuickBooks Expert and Certified in Advanced Federal Taxation.

Thomas’ unique qualifications provide value added services not normally found with accountants and bookkeepers.  His mission is to increase profits, reduce taxes, and ensure peace of mind for small business owners.
